Safari: lodges or tented camps

Safari: lodges or tented camps?

TENTED CAMP: “canvas” curtains mounted on wooden or masonry platforms, furnished with attention to the smallest details
and equipped with every comfort for the thrill of a wild-chic safari. Bathroom and shower in the room with hot water. Most of the tented camps offer the comforts of a luxury hotel while respecting the surrounding nature.

LODGE: masonry rooms similar to a hotel but characterized by African furnishings to give you the emotion of the savannah context.
There are different types of lodges, single cottages that in a certain sense resemble tents, but are in any case brick or rooms within a structure very similar to a hotel. For those who want the comfort of a hotel but in a wilder context.

Safari: Tented camp

Lodge or tented camp? it is often thought that the tented camp is a more basic solution, typical of camping. We are very far from what the real reality of the tented camp is.

Often the tented camps are more beautiful than the lodges and sometimes more expensive, precisely because they are more exclusive and intimate. Located in exclusive areas and immersed in the wildest nature, they give you the opportunity to experience a safari from the past.

The tents are in "Canvas" material mounted on a concrete or wooden base. Furnished with comfortable beds, carpets, embellished with jewels that recall the safari of the first pioneers. Sitting area and outdoor veranda where you can relax and enjoy the savannah. A comfortable bathroom with sink, hot shower powered by solar panels. Fans to cool down during the hottest hours.

Unlike lodges, tented camps are less impactful and oriented towards a concept of eco-sustainability.

Safari: Lodge

The lodge's architecture respects the characteristics of the hotel, as well as having a greater accommodation capacity than the tented camp. Often immersed in wonderful contexts, they have the advantage of often offering you unique scenarios. At night from the veranda of your room you can admire families of elephants who come to drink in the pools of water adjacent to the structure.

The rooms have all the comforts that a 5-star hotel can have and can be the ideal choice for those who are more afraid of being in a wilder context.

There are also solutions that are a compromise between tented camp and lodge, cottage rooms. Rooms built in masonry with an architecture very similar to the tented camp, where the boundary between the two realities is not so clear.

Whatever your choice, the night in the savannah is one of the most beautiful and unforgettable experiences.
