What to pack for a safari

What to pack for a safari?

Comfortable clothing: short and long cotton trousers, light T-shirts or shirts, sweatshirt or jacket for the evening and when visiting the northern parks. Neutral colors preferred. The bright colors disturb the animals. It is usually hot, but in the early morning or evening the temperatures are lower and breezy. If you visit the parks of the north it is advisable to bring some heavier clothes for the evening and early morning, being at an altitude above 1000 meters the climate is cooler.

Comfortable sneakers type shoes. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and cocoa butter. Mosquito repellent. Power adapters for English type sockets to charge the camera. Binoculars, camera and some spare memory cards. Soft suitcases are recommended because the trunk of the jeep is very small.

Suitcase recommended

FLY SAFARI CON CESSNA AIRCRAFT

If you take one of the local airlines to go directly to the parks, the baggage must be of soft material and not exceed 15 kg.

Recommended luggage size: 67cm long x 35cm wide x 35cm high.

SAFARI BY ROAD

Since the space for luggage in off-road vehicles is limited, it is very important to keep a small suitcase or bag made of soft material, carrying only the essentials with you. This will also facilitate travel from park to park.

In your tent or lodge you will find all the bath products, bubble bath, shampoo, body lotion, mosquito repellent and hair dryer.
